American Music Tour Playlist
How do you connect with a place that you’re visiting? Is it the smells, the eats, the feels, the sounds?
Matt & I live full time on the road in our 2006 Sprinter. We set out on the road in September 2017 with a goal to visit all 50 states. We have since let that goal fall below our line of sight and have been slowing rolling where the wind blows us. This is a musical journey through our first 20 states.
As we roll into a new state we start looking for ways to connect with the place and the people. Part of that is through music. We’ll search for musicians from the state or songs about that state and put together a playlist as we drive. Other things include looking at real estate, hanging out at local coffee shops, finding good eats, biking tours of the city and hopefully talking to locals.
While we will never claim to capture the true essence of a place with a simple playlist – we hope you enjoy the musical journey on your next adventure!
