Once again this year, we’re leaving El Campo with smiles stamped on our faces and unforgettable memories!
With over 485 vans in attendance, the 8th edition of El Campo was held in Sainte-Anne-de-Sorel. On this last weekend of August, many of you participated in the largest gathering of vans in Canada. The energy was palpable and the sharing between experienced and new vanlifers was palpable. Once again, you showed that van life creates strong bonds and unites us all.
A new site
After several years at the Domaine du Radar, we decided to move to a larger site to accommodate even more vans. So, for the 8th edition, we found ourselves at the Domaine Boréal, located in the beautiful Montérégie region of Sainte-Anne-de-Sorel. The vans were lined up on an old airfield, connected to the exhibition area and the Mixbus by a small illuminated path! This new layout allowed us to discover your setups one after the other in the same place (and to build up our calves of steel). It was so much fun to meet you and see you so happy in front of your van!
A full program and passionate exhibitors
Whatever the weather, you were all there! Rain or shine, you made the most of the activities: yoga in the rain with Yogaventures, giant games with Jeureka, dynamic workouts with Karine Nomad Fitness, relaxing watercolor workshops with Stéphanie Laurin, family dancing with Karine Cloutier, and coloring under cover in the family zone. Young and old enjoyed every moment!
And what about the exhibitors? Like every year, your passion enlightened our weekend. Your sharing and your products made life so much easier for so many vanlifers. With 39 exhibitors offering everything from practical van accessories to stylish clothing, decadent food, jewelry, art and unique van designs, there really was something for everyone!
Special mention to the Babybel ambassadors who braved the rain to reward us after yoga and fitness training!
Our favorite moments
Friday night shows
We kicked off the weekend in style with Marilyne Léonard on the Mixbus stage, who immediately captivated the audience with her charisma and exceptional performance. The evening continued with Mike Clay taking over the decks for a DJ set that thrilled the crowd and created an electrifying atmosphere.
Saturday night shows
The famous Saturday El Campo, the night everyone looks forward to to celebrate in style with friends and new acquaintances!
We started the evening with Daphné Létourneau and Anthony Courcy, who put a smile on our faces! Then we fell in love with the surfer boys of Half Hour Late, who made us all feel like we were in California, even in the rain! And what about the Cowboys Fringant tribute song, a little extra delivered by David Pozay, the band’s Quebecois singer.
Traditionally, the evening ended early in the morning with the Mixbus, who once again brought the after-party to a brilliant close.
Sunday morning
This beautiful weekend ended at Passion Planche, Domaine Boréal’s neighbor, for a guided tour of the Sorel Islands with Chlorophylle. Participants were able to sail around the magnificent scenery that makes Sainte-Anne-de-Sorel so unique.
Thank you again for your participation and we’ll see you next year for new adventures and even more magical moments!
