On the last weekend of September, Go-van held a first van meet up called El Campo in the Vallée Bras-du-Nord close to Saint-Raymond-de-Portneuf, a little town about 45 minutes from Québec city. This location was a reference of my friend Jason who had showed me this unique spot a few years ago.
It was the perfect location for every captain and their family to feel welcome, no matter what kind of freedom vessel they drive! We saw many old buses, cool vanagons, an all-terrain-ready SunRader, Sprinters, Safari Condos, Wanderlodge buses and even a Renault camper van! A great mix of vehicles that gave the open field a van exhibition look!
With the help of Jason, Pedro, Marie-Michèle and other great collaborators we were able to gather almost 100 vans!
Having all kind of people united because of their passion for traveling and sharing, for most of them, a nomadic lifestyle really created something magical. Kids were making friends while parents were telling road trip stories around the bonfire! I was also really happy to see artisans sharing their knowledge to those interested.
After meeting so many great people, we hope to see you next year !
Thank you again to the brands who supported the event!
